Join us for our grand opening of Groundhog Grove and meet Natalie, our new groundhog! Ribbon cutting will be at 7 AM. Visitors can join us in person or via livestream.
Media and guests are welcome to join us for our Groundhog’s Day weather forecast to see if Natalie thinks we will have 6 more weeks of winter or an early spring! Admission for media personal is free, but please let us know in advance if you plan to attend as we will limit the number of people allowed to the opening. Our Groundhog Grove will be nearly 300 square feet for Natalie to dig, climb and explore featuring plenty of burrows and soft soil for her to dig. This new exhibit is in conjunction with the renovation/expansion of Prairie Dog Plains.
Ballyhoo Petting Zoo is a USDA facility established in 2021. We are open from 9 AM – 6 PM soon Thursday-Saturday, and 1 PM – 6 PM on Sunday. General admission tickets can be purchased here.
