What to expect
When Booking Your Party
We have a step-by-step guide below for booking your party with us.
We ask for two weeks’ notice for party reservations to allow us to plan for your group adequately. Please note that we book up months in advance for our busy months of April/May and September/October. Please check if your date is available below.
We do not need an exact headcount for your party to make your reservation. We only need a rough estimate of the number of guests attending. We require a non-refundable deposit of 1/2 the total amount (not including encounters) within one week of booking to hold the date for your party.
We will call three days before your event to confirm your headcount and send your final payment invoice, including encounters. We will adjust your final payment based on your updated headcount, and your deposit will be applied to this amount. Parties must be paid for in full before you arrive, or you will not be able to set up for your event.
The Day Of Your Party
Our Party Pavilion is conveniently located by the zoo’s entrance so guests can quickly unload their vehicle. We ask all guests to check in at the front desk, where they will receive a party wristband and feed cup.
We allow our guests an additional 30 minutes to set up before their event (except the 3-5 slot on Sundays) and 30 minutes after their event to tear down (except the 1-3 slot on Sundays). We do allow guests to bring decorations and refreshments. We have a refrigerator for perishable items for guests to use.
Our pavilion area is 12×30 and has three picnic tables underneath. In addition, we have another seven picnic tables for guests to use if needed with umbrellas. Please note that we ask for tablecloths covering all tables the party utilizes.
We do not allow outside treats for the animals, pinatas, noisemakers, confetti cannons, air horns, or alcohol.

Yes. We have to have a reservations for you to host a birthday party at the zoo.
We do close the zoo if it there is a 80% chance or higher to rain. If your party looks like it is going to get rained out, we will communicate this when we call 3 days prior to your party. If needed, we can move the date or time to a day it will not rain or still have the party while the farm is closed. If this does not work for you, you will receive a full refund for the deposit.
We do not currently travel with the animals for birthday parties. However, The Feral Den Mobile Petting Zoo does and we recommend them.
We do require an admission ticket for seniors visiting just for the party, however, we can give them group admission senior tickets for $8 instead of $11.
No, guests do not have to participate in the encounters if they do not want to. However, you cannot exchange encounter passes to other encounters or other guests. The three paid encounters must be selected in advance for all guests.

Feed Cups
Party packages include 1 feed cup per guest. Additional feed cups are available for purchase for a discount if you would like more than one! These are also available the day of your event if you do not wish to preorder.

Decorations
Themed decorations include balloon arches, table cloths, banners, streamers, ext. This includes set up and tear down. Themes available are Barnyard Roundup, Bunny Bruch, Australian Outback, Alpaca Palooza, Jungle Explorer, and African Safari.

Gift Bags
ift bags are available for each kid and includes small party favors, toys, candy, bubbles, and souvenirs. Gift bags will match decorations. If you are bringing your own decorations, let us know your theme ahead of time and we will do our best to match it!

Cupcakes + Pizza
We do provide a refreshment including cupcakes, pizza, and drinks. All plates, napkins, and cutlery are also included and will match the theme of your party.

Step 3: Choose Your Encounters
We include all free encounters and three paid encounters with each party package. Additional encounters are available for $2/guest. These typically last between 5-15 minutes each.
Please note, all animals listed here will be out on exhibit for guests to pet and see (unless off season). Not all guest have to participate in encounters. Encounters are not transferable from person to person.
Payment for encounters is not due until the day of your event and encounters are subject to change based on animal’s temperament.
